What stays on your device

Your category preferences and light or dark choice are stored in your own browser. They are never sent to us, so we could not tell you what yours are. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What our servers see

Ordinary web server records: the page requested, the time, your browser type, and an IP address. This is what any web server records in order to function and to stop abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Email

If you subscribe to the newsletter we keep your email address, and only that, for the purpose of sending it. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address. We do not sell or share it.

Advertising and third parties

If advertising runs on this site, the ad provider may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own policy, which we do not control. Links out to news outlets take you to their sites, where their policies apply, not ours.

Children

This is a general news site and is not directed at children under 13.

Asking us about your data

Email hello@signal-pop.com. Given how little is collected, the usual answer is that we hold nothing about you beyond an email address if you subscribed — and we will delete that on request.
